The Oregon Chapter was established in 1964 as a venue for fisheries scientist to collaborate and share their ideas and visions. To make a successful and vibrant organization thrive it is dependent upon the hard work and commitment of its members. This includes those who volunteer to provide the leadership to run and operate the Chapter by serving on the Executive Committee. The professional members who ask hard questions, disseminate information, and find ways to advance knowledge and understanding. The students who are key to innovation and the future. Throughout its history, the Chapter has recognized the achievements of its members, awarded those who have gone above and beyond, and created some long lasting traditions, one of them being the passing of the beloved wolf eel from former to current president!
