2023 Annual Meeting

2023 OREGON CHAPTER

American Fisheries Society

59thANNUAL MEETING

Eugene, Oregon

February 28 – March 3, 2023

The 2023 Annual Meeting marks the 59th anniversary of the Oregon Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. The theme of the program is “Facing Our Challenges.”  We are all facing a global pandemic, drought conditions, large wildfires, and some fish populations with very low returns year after year.  With these challenges it could be easy to throw in the towel but as fisheries professionals we need to take the challenges that come our way and continue to fight for what’s best for the fish and their habitats. The core purpose of this meeting is to inspire everyone to tackle our current and future challenges.

Technical Sessions: Biotelemetry Studies & Data Analysis, Klamath Basin, Reintroduction-Where are We Now, Populations on the Edge, Fish Passage, Education and Outreach, Marine & Estuary Invertebrates, and many more!

The 2023 Annual Meeting Program will include: a variety of technical sessions, networking opportunities to build relationships with colleagues, workshops to build on our professional skills, a trade show, and student-mentor event to inspire the next generation, and our great social events to catch up people we haven’t seen in a couple years.
