About Us​

Our Executive Committee (ExCom) is the organizational power behind ORAFS. They meet monthly to balance the books, approve documents and decision papers, plan the annual meetings, develop recommendations for incoming presidents, prepare articles for the newsletter, update the Administrative Handbook, and once a year, they meet at a retreat to generate new creative ideas for how to increase and improve member engagement. 

The Chapter’s ExCom officers are President, President-Elect, Past President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Internal Director, External Director and two Student Representatives. Officers are elected at the annual meetings with a few exceptions. The President-Elect succeeds to the office of President after completing a term as President-Elect, and the President succeeds to the office of Past President after completing a term as President. The Treasurer’s term is only for 2 years.

The Student Representatives are elected according to the Student Subunit Bylaws. The Oregon State University Student Subunit and the Mt. Hood Community College Student Subunit are the student subunits currently approved by the Chapter.
