Though leadership of the Chapter changes through time, we are guided by documents that establish the official mission and duties of our organization.
The Work Plans (Chapter and Committee-specific) and Budgets detail the specific proceedings of the Chapter by fiscal year. These documents contain tangible demonstration of the Chapter’s commitment to the Strategic Plan.
The Chapter sporadically passes Resolutions passed by membership at annual meetings to update the Chapter’s position on a specific issue or change ORAFS operations.
The Bylaws are a set of standard operational rules established for the Chapter, revised occasionally by Chapter leadership. There are also Bylaws established for the student sub-units at OSU and MHCC.
Policies are specific rules, principles, and procedures for Chapter operations that provide clear expectations for members and leadership regarding certain topics.
The Administrative Handbook serves as an ultimate guiding document that details the policies, procedures, and organizational structures necessary for smooth operations of the Chapter. It includes key components such as governance roles and responsibilities, financial management protocols, meeting guidelines, membership management, event planning frameworks, and communication strategies. This document ensures continuity and clarity for current and future leadership.
The Guidance Documents are specific documents referenced in the Administrative Handbook and include the Code of Ethics, the Strategic Plan, Guidelines for Public Statements and Reviews, a link to the Chapter Awards and Criteria page, a link to the Scholarship Application Announcements and Guidelines, and the Annual Meeting Handbook.
