ScCS 2019

Your ScCS Planning Team has been working very diligently to pull together a great camping venue, wonderful meals and a robust program for the 30th Anniversary ScCS Meeting being held at The Nature Conservancy’s Research Station on Sycan Marsh near Gearhart Mountain, Oregon.  The meeting will span three days beginning at 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 27th and ending after lunch on Thursday August 29th.

It’s Time To Register!

Registration fees will be $125 and will include 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 2 dinners.  We have an online registration platform at:

https://orafs.123signup.com/event/registration/rjkxh

Please indicate your preference for the type of field activities that would be of interest to you. In addition, please note that some registrants who did not receive a refund from last years cancelled ScCS meeting will have a reduced registration fee.  There are no camping sites on the premises, only camping areas, so plan accordingly and bring your own camp tables and chairs.  We will be providing portable toilets and hand wash stations.  Bringing a personal portable shower is advised.  The presentation area for the meeting will have table and chairs.

Call for Presentations!

Since we’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first ScCS workshop at Gearhart Mountain this year, the theme of this year’s presentations will be Bull Trout: Past, Present, and Future. We are gearing the presentations to address looking at where we were in 1989, where we’ve come/where we are in 2019, and where we’re headed in 2049 and beyond.  So, if possible, a temporal perspective in your presentation is encouraged.

Send a brief abstract of your proposed presentation to Phil Howell (philip.howell@usda.gov) by 7/7/19.
