SEEKING CERTIFICATION?
THE OREGON CHAPTER CAN HELP!
Fisheries Professionals! Did you get certified in 2007? Are you thinking
about certification? Are you in the process of getting certified? The Oregon
Chapter of AFS has funds available to help you reach your professional
goals!
To apply for a certification scholarship, contact Barry McPherson and
let him know you’d like to be considered for certification reimbursement.
The Chapter budgeted $300 for scholarships during the 2006-2007 fiscal year
to defray the cost of your certification application fee ($50 for associate,
$100 for certified). Applicants are reimbursed by the Chapter upon
confirmation of AFS certification.
Recent recipients are Cory Sipher
who received his
Certified Fisheries Professional certification, and Ian
Reid who
received an AFS Associate Fisheries Professional certification.
One to two more scholarships are currently available. For more information,
